Africam’s Virtual Wildlife Photography Competition: September 2026 Winner!

Posted in: Competitions

Congratulations to this Month’s Winner!

September’s Photo Competition invited the Africam community to capture the beauty of wildlife In The Crowd. From herds and gatherings to those fleeting moments of connection between animals, our community found plenty of ways to bring the theme to life around our livestream cameras.

We’re delighted to announce that Carina L is our September winner with her beautiful image titled Synchronized Drinking, captured at Lentorre.

The photograph captures a dazzle of zebra drinking together, perfectly timed as they lower their heads in almost complete synchrony. It’s a simple but wonderfully captivating moment, with the composition highlighting both the individual animals and the sense of togetherness that makes the scene so special.

There’s something particularly striking about wildlife moments like this. Amid the movement and activity of a busy waterhole, Carina managed to capture a perfectly coordinated instant, a wonderful example of how much there is to discover when you slow down, and take the time to watch.

Congratulations, Carina, on a fantastic winning photograph and a beautiful interpretation of In The Crowd!
